Description of AirFiber 5/AF-5
The airFiber 5 (AF-5) has two airFiber models available for the 5 GHz spectrum. The mid-band model AF-5 uses the most popular mid-band frequency and is free to use in many parts of the world. The high-band (5.7 - 6.2 GHz) model AF-5U has strong filtering performance, enables collaborative positioning when the device is running on a lower 5 GHz band, and allows forRun at higher output power.

1. Excellent processing ability
Ubiquiti Networks introduced the proprietary INVICTUS™ core communication processing engine. The speed, power and efficiency of this integrated circuit help to improve the performance of airFiber AF-5/AF-5U.
2. Effective use of the 5 GHz band
airFiber AF-5/AF-5U has a 1 MHz center channel resolution and market-leading power envelope tracking technology. airFiber AF-5/AF-5U can accurately and continuously control the transmission power related to the band edge. The power level is automatically tracked to optimize the performance around the edge of the frequency band, allowing you to select the part of the frequency band with the least interference.
3. Long-distance links
The patent-pending xRT function of the new airFiber AF-5/AF-5U uses an innovative, adaptive multi-channel coding scheme to enhance the performance of radio transceivers, thereby optimizing link budget and spectrum utilization when implementing standards and safety regulations. This allows the link to cover a distance of 10 m to over 100 km.
4. Fast and easy to use installation
The unique sliding fastener design of airFiber AF-5/AF-5U allows the installation hardware to be pre-assembled before installation, thereby avoiding the situation of the screw on the top of the tower from falling off. In addition, the simple bracket fixing device allows the installer to install the mounting hardware to the pole without supporting the weight of the airFiber wireless transmission system during the installation process.
5. Wireless calibration display
The wireless calibration display (RAD) is specially designed for airFiber AF-5/AF-5U to make alignment faster and easier. The dual-calibrated signal strength indicator can display the actual signal strength in real time in the local and remote airFiber wireless transmission systems. The comprehensive configuration of the wireless transmission system status indicator shows the following:
